Network Grade Linux is an open source project maintaining a universal network operating environment. For their logo, the community suggested it could relate to ideas of 'stable, atomic, elemental'.
The chosen design concept uses node shapes and overlapping colours to represent the intersections of separate pieces making up the initials of the project name, and suggesting the interconnectedness of a network.
As a fun bonus, we took this idea one step further by creating a 'broken' version of the logo for use on their 404 page, where the individual letters making up the logo can be clearly distinguished.
